Through intimate songwriting and performance, Sydney producer and performer Gussy is deconstructing normative gender and sexual ideals.
Their first single ‘Looking At Myself’ is accompanied by a self-directed video, exploring post-breakup existentialism through a series of costumes and dance sequences. Released in June, ‘Looking At Myself’ has already attracted a ghostly remix from Melbourne producer Air Max ’97, spawning a second Gussy-directed music video.
A powerful performer, Gussy recently played a mesmerising set at Sydney’s multi-venue festival Volumes, as well as support slots for Melbourne producer Oscar Key Sung and synth-pop duo Kllo.
